I’ve always wanted to be a hairstylist. At age 6, I had a life-size mannequin head. I worked on my first satisfied customer! As a sixth grader, I cut my baby brother and baby sister‘s hair. (layered boy’s cut and a pageboy). In high school I was cutting the Paynesville wrestling team’s hair on my parent’s kitchen carpet. “You need a haircut? Go see Linda,” the coach would say. What sets me apart as a stylist are the questions I use to probe clients about their needs and expectations for their experience. Having curly hair myself I felt it was important to get certified in Ouidad a curly haircut technique. I am excited that curls are coming back. Other stylists have referred to me as the “Perm Queen.” Some of the techniques I've learned and used, over the 40+ years in this industry, feel like magic to me. Which is why I’m so enthusiastic about my gifts and using them for good. Over the years I’ve received industry recognition, 1st place in national men’s cutting competition and 1st place women’s haircut competition, Minnesota/Midwest region. I truly love everything about doing hair!!! I’ve always done hair, and I’ll continue to do hair until I can’t raise my arms anymore.

When I’m not behind the chair, I enjoy spending time with my family, including eight grandchildren that live near. I’m honored to spend my day off doing Nana daycare. Playing games is a highlight for me. Time at the lake is cherished. My husband and I love to travel. I get energized spending time with people near and dear to me.
